Counsellor and Therapist

I have always enjoyed working with people from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, ages and identities, helping people gain a deeper awareness of themselves, and connect to their own truth.

Whilst part of my working life is focused around perinatal support, I offer counselling and therapy to people of all genders around a wide range of issues. You can see more about some the the reasons people come to therapy on my Counselling and Therapy page

I'm a qualified Yoga Teacher and facilitate classes to support the perinatal time, offer mentoring for Mothers and have over ten years experience working in supportive roles with families around pregnancy, birth and the early years. This includes mental health support, birth trauma and pregnancy/baby loss both privately and through third sector organisations.

I previously worked in the field of sustainability and have worked in both Australia and the UK in community engagement roles supporting groups to work towards environmental responsibility and community cohesion. I was also a tutor for Birthlight International and have delivered courses for them in Germany, Australia, Ireland and the UK.

I approach all my work with a LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodivergent affirming and anti-racist stance.

I hold a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and am a registered member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). As such I adhere to their Ethical Framework including attending fortnightly professional supervision and having engaged in a significant amount of therapy myself. Each year, I do a minimum of 30hrs of CPD to expand my knowledge, understanding and perspectives to better support those I work with.
